Molding and Material Analysis of Inner Tank of Glass Lined Thermos Flask

1. How is the inner tank of a glass lined thermos flask formed?

The manufacture of thermos water flask inner tank requires the following 4 steps: ① preparation of the preform; ② preparation of the inner container; ③ silver plating; ④ vacuum.

The glass material used for thermos water flask is commonly used soda lime silicate glass. Take uniform and impurity-free high-temperature molten glass, and blow them into a glass inner and outer perform with a wall thickness of 1 to 2 mm in a metal mold.

The inner bottle of the insulated vacuum jug is placed in the outer bottle, the mouth of the bottle is continuously sealed into a whole, and a pipe for silver plating and air extraction is set at the bottom of the outer bottle. A certain amount of silver ammonia complex solution and aldehyde solution as a reducing agent are poured into the interlayer of the bottle blank through a small tail catheter to carry out the silver mirror reaction, and the silver ions are reduced and deposited on the glass surface to form a thin layer of mirror silver film.

Connect the tail pipe of the double-layer bottle blank with silver-plated layer to a vacuum system and heat it to 300-400°C to promote the release of various gases and residual moisture absorbed by the glass. At the same time, use a vacuum pump to pump air, and when the vacuum degree of the interlayer space of the bottle bladder reaches 10-3~10-4mmHg, the tail tube is melt-sealed. Once the small protrusion at the bottom of the thermos water flask inner tank is broken, the double-layer inner tank cannot maintain the vacuum state, and the heat preservation effect is very poor. Before using the new bladder, soak it in warm water for 20 minutes, and then use it after cleaning. Do not rinse it with boiling water directly, as the bladder may burst if it is hot or cold.

The middle of the glass lined vacuum flask is a double-layer glass container. The two layers are vacuumed and plated with silver or aluminum. The vacuum state can avoid heat convection. The glass itself is a poor conductor of heat, and the silver plated glass can reflect the heat energy radiated from the inside of the container. Conversely, if cold liquid is stored in the bottle, the glass lined thermos bottle can prevent external heat from radiating into the bottle.

2. What material is good for the inner tank of a personalised glass lined vacuum flask?

For glass lined thermos flask, the red inner tank has better raw materials and better insulation. The red inner tank is copper-plated, and the heat preservation time is longer. Now there is a pneumatic glass thermos inner tank, which is very convenient to use. The coating is on the outer layer of the inner tank and will not be exposed to water. When there is sediment in the inner tank, pour 10-20ML of edible vinegar, either old or white vinegar, into the pot. Add warm water, shake well and let stand for 10-15 minutes, the inner tank will be as clean as new.

However, when the thermos water flask is used for a long time, a layer of scale will gradually accumulate in the inner tank of the thermos water flask. However, when buying an inner tank, it is still advisable to choose a stainless steel inner tank.

The glass water bottle bulk is optional for indoor use, and the stainless steel liner is optional for outdoor use. The high-quality personalised thermos flask with glass inner liner keeps heat well. The heat preservation and cold preservation of ordinary thermos flasks are relatively poor. The effect of vacuum thermos is much better. When it is hot, we can use vacuum thermos to pack ice water or ice cubes so you can enjoy the icy feeling at any time. Hot water can be filled in in winter and you can drink hot water at any time.

From an economic point of view, the traditional glass liner is good. From the perspective of thermal insulation performance, as long as the vacuum is done well, it is very good. From the perspective of portability, stainless steel is good and anti-drop. In terms of heat preservation, the vacuum glass vacuum flask has a good heat preservation effect among various liners, and the cost performance is extremely high. This is the reason why the thermos water flasks used at home have always used glass liners.
